Do you remember Lupe Fiasco's "Superstar"? Do you remember Matthew Santos, the lead vocalist providing the unforgettable hook on the track? If you said "yes" to the first, welcome, but if the latter item is in your memory banks as well, you're about to be in for a treat. The artist is back, and he has with him here fellow Chicagoan talents Saam Hagshenas and Jonathan Marks of Hey Champ, and Daniel Brunelle of Gemini Club (they're each producers and songwriters). Together, the individuals have formed the new group, MONAKR, and with the project's creation comes their debut track, "Diamond", that's going catch the ear of all who've an affection for anthemic-sounding indie-pop.
