Emotionally piercing music, when done right, never gets old, and "ATL", the debut from M E R G E S, represents this very kind of brooding and boisterous sound. Within the track, we're privy to dark synths, soaring vocals, and a building up of energy and acoustics alike, and all work together to put forth a gripping appeal. The effort is a very strong first one from the South Dakota-raised, Nashville-residing artist, and we look forward to hearing more work of hers from here.
