We're not the first in line to welcome heartbreaking pieces, but if it’s in the form of Lykke Li’s stainless vocals, who are we to complain? Following her flawlessly melancholic album, I Never Learn, Li contributes her gifted voice to “No Ever Loved” from the upcoming film, The Fault In Our Stars. The title of the piece is almost an adequate illustration of what’s in store, as Lykke sweeps us away instantly with sorrow-filled goodness. Li portrays herself as the protagonist (Hazel) in the track, as she talks about how there’s a certain significance about your first love, and, accompanied by a shivering orchestra of instruments, it stands out as another clear-cut masterpiece of hers.
