Luna Shadows, a multi-talented singer-songwriter, truly does it all. She has (and utilized) vocal talent, plays several instruments, writes her own music, and even goes so far as to produce it, too. That self-driven ingenuity has brought her her newest track, "Hallelujah California", and we're very thankful for that. Shadows' ode to the state is a bit deceiving, as twinges of melancholy are nestled within what upbeat anthem she employs. "My daddy always warned that the saddest songs are major keys", she sings, and its her lyricism hinted at there that really makes the track what it is. Classic Hollywood stereotypes are melded with her own experiences to tell a complete tale, and what production she uses to corral it all indicate to us that she's indeed capable of more whole and brilliant sounds to come.
