We're always ecstatic to see females take their musical talents out of the realm of the conventional and into something blatantly obscure, and with Loumar's debut single released yesterday through Windsor's Memory No. 36 Recordings, that's exactly what we get. "Chrysalis" is the title of the debut track, and it's a staggeringly surreal electronic undercurrent to help advance Loumar's ambient tone along the graceful sonic ride. A whole host of synths mix with intermittent, punchy bass and myriad other instrumentations to unearth an extravagant soundscape that really defies description, and Loumar harnesses the whole of the elements like a seasoned singer would. We're absolutely impressed with her artistic taste, and doubly interested to hear what other exotic efforts she'll be able to come up with for her upcoming Avril EP.
