Louis Mattrs is one of those up-and-coming artists who's really on the cusp of breaking out and staying lit within the musical sphere. We've heard a slew of impressive works from him already, and now with his new EP, Slow Waves, we've a fully fleshed body of work that's going to put him definitively on the map. From the project, we've already heard the lead track and "Superman" as well, but now we get three more efforts to enjoy. The first of that batch, "Sweet Innocence", is a charming, progressive, vocalist-featured number that will warm hearts and make music heads proud; the second, "Young Gun (Oh My)", is a more sultry affair; and the project's final piece, "Messed Up", is a sparkling, percussion-prominent one that sees the talents of singer LK Faith on it. Overall, as our words indicate quite clearly, Slow Waves slays, and, again, we believe it should put him on the map, where he's likely to stay. It's rare for a project of any length to be as riddled with quality as this one is here, and we've it held in incredibly high regard as a result. Slow Waves is available for purchase on iTunes now.
