Although this is the first time you'll see Lost Midas on Hillydilly, the native Bostonian producer has been making music for several years now, acting primarily as a drummer within multiple projects. Now though, the multi-instrumentalist has found his niche within the realm of electronic production; and through his genre-defying track, "Head Games", he's firmly asserted his musical dexterity. There's no doubt that "Head Games" is polished down to a tee. Its transitions are extraordinarily seamless, the rhythm is frequent (but smoothly varying), and the subtle nuances are absolutely satisfying. There are multiple layers of rotating synths within the piece, some heavy and some airy, and the crisp percussion employed alongside them brings some style to the beat. Audris' bright, echoed vocals mesh perfectly with the instrumental, and the abundance of electronic bits keep the track agile throughout.
