Lorde — Yellow Flicker Beat

Lorde

Yellow Flicker Beat

A lot has happened since we first heard Lorde back in January of 2013. She's gone from a barely known, Universal Music Group-singed, talented sixteen-year-old, to one of the biggest artists in the world. What's crazy is that she's still only seventeen, and there's no reason to expect her career won't last for a length of time double her age. (Just imagine all the amazing music she's yet to make.) It's all enough to realize that with her leading the way, music in general is in great hands. As was reported back in July, Lorde is set to curate the upcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 movie soundtrack, and not only is she selecting all the artists who will be featured on the album, but Lorde herself has created a song for the movie. That song is "Yellow Flicker Beat", it's just been released, and it's featuring production from her familiar production counterpart, Joel Little. Building off an already stellar history with the individual, "Yellow Flicker Beat" is another promising track that's sure to appeal to all the fans of their previous work. We've no doubts that it's going to set the precedent for the rest of the aforementioned soundtrack, too, so get excited by streaming the first song below. Purchase "Yellow Flicker Beat" on iTunes.
