Hannah Reid’s voice fabricates a certain unearthliness that you wouldn’t tend to tamper with, and astute artists such as the UTRB ones are certainly aware of this fact, so instead of messing too heavily with the original here, they've decided to dexterously sample desired segments on their remix of London Grammar’s most recent single, “Sights”. It's fitting that they've selected the track as one to artistically dissect, too, as they're only a couple months away from kicking off their North American Tour with the UK-based trio. Surely, then, this remix is an exemplary preface to what should be a cracking set of performances by all involved. A couple immersive chords set the track in motion, and they're then elbowed by a beautifully crafted percussive pattern and a deft sample of Reid’s voice. The emotive backdrop sees shades of the original's instrumentation as it proceeds, and that welcomes the vocals to drift effortlessly in the serene atmosphere. As the verse reaches its latter stage, UTRB’s signature downtempo character makes its way into the track with sweet-sounding percussion, watchfully filtered vocal cuts, and a saturating drum sequence, and the rendition certainly conjures up several sentiments, apart from giving us a fresh take on LG’s work.
