We've been heralding Logic for some time. The Maryland-to-Los Angeles emcee has floored us with each of us his projects released, from Young Sinatra three years ago, to Young Sinatra: Undeniable after that, to slews of songs since, and ever since his signing to Def Jam Recordings was unveiled, we knew we'd be treated to a proper debut from the burgeoning artist. Well, that debut is the today-released Under Pressure, and though we're not as riled up about it as some of his previous work, we'd be remiss to say that he's not some golden efforts on the thirteen-track body. Tracks "Soul Food", "Gang Related", and "I'm Gone" are those we took most easily to, for example, but that's just from our super-selective sifting through. The truth is that Under Pressure is a concept album enjoyed as much in full as it is through its shining spots, and to truly get to know Logic the way he wants you to with his material's unveiling, a full listen is required. However you decide to take on the tracks, though, know that you'll be greeted with more of his raw rapping abilities, vulnerable, story-driven content, and now, some seriously engineered production to back it all up.
