We've seen some really incredible boy-girl duos emerge over the past year (BROODS, X priest X, and Float Fall), and today, we've a brand-new act to add to this list in the form of Little Shoes Big Voice (LSBV). Comprised of Jack Durtnall and Emily Harvey, the London-based twosome softly released their very first single, "Nightfall", over the internet about seven months ago, and it quickly received some serious praise from BBC Radio 1, being selected as the "Introducing Track of the Week". However, if you're in the same boat as us and missed this BBC feature, then please allow us to reintroduce you to the euphonic sounds of LSBV with their brand-new single, "Blue Veins". In order to wash away any initial doubts about Emily Harvey's vocal prowess, she opens the track with nothing more than her enchanting croon, which is quickly matched with a fresh drum beat, some lightly bolstering bass, and some angelic harp plucks. Not only does the female half sing here, but Jack Durtnall also offers a few bars and does so euphonically, adding to the song's brilliance. However, it's still evident that Emily's vocals are the ones being highlighted here, and the eclectic instrumentation behind her—consisting of mellow guitar plucks, electric piano keys, and smooth synths—really allows her voice to shine. With nothing more than their new single, LSBV already has us fixated on their soft, delicate sound, and we're betting that they'll be seeing a good bit of hype once this song makes its way around the web. Expect to hear the B-side to "Blue Veins" in the upcoming weeks, so make sure you keep LSBV high on your radar.
