Litany — Slopes

Litany

Slopes

With seductive synth chords and a complementary vocal croon, Litany's "Slopes" begins, and so too does our fascination with the effort. The UK duo, consisting of members Jake and Beth, have seemed to take a defining approach with this track of theirs, sonically speaking, and seeing that it's been ten months since their last track surfaced, we're hoping that this new wave of aural inspiration is here to stay. With the "new" sound, we're privy to a wonderfully downtempo soundscape, one that robes us in lofty listening realms while keeping us fixated on Beth's perfectly pitched vocal tone. Jake's electronic painting in the background allow it to shine in subdued light, and though the track progresses a bit in intensity from beginning to end, it retains an unmistakbly light, slightly breezy ambiance throughout. We can't get enough of it, and we seriously hope the two find a way to make it last into more tracks, if not a larger body of work.
