It may have been two years since we've heard Edinburgh-based artist Lists, yet it feels like we are still experiencing the lingering echoes of the raw, emotional display of previous singles “Veil” and “Autumn”. Even without active listening, the memory of these tracks remain through recollections that continue to occur, unsolicited by conscious thought. The longevity retained is a testament to the genuine approach that Lists takes to his music, and it is encouraging to see this continue with brand-new single “Millie & Ivor”. Similar to previous singles, “Millie & Ivor” is executed with a gorgeous, melancholic touch that permeates throughout. The delicate falsetto harmonies which dance lightly across the sparse piano arrangements are conveyed with a painfully raw conviction that is as beautiful as it is evocative, and they see Lists cement his place among other greats in the genre such as S. Carey, RY X, and Vancouver Sleep Clinic, for sure.
