Last night, Lil Wayne released the fifth installment of Tha Carter. The album’s release date was shrouded in uncertainty over the past few years due to legal disputes with Cash Money, but, after settling in June, Wayne could finally share this project, and it holds some of his best work in years. Tha Carter V is lengthy, but there are a couple tracks on it that stand out. "Dedicate" pairs Wayne's flow with staccato piano, and "What About Me" (with Sosamann) is a reflective piece with spacious and hypnotic production unlike what we’ve come to expect from Wayne thus far.
