Lil Tjay recorded "Beat the Odds" from a place most people wouldn't come back from. The Bronx rapper, who survived being shot six times in June 2022, channels that survival into something that sounds less like triumph and more like quiet resolve. The melodic rap production is polished and radio-ready, but the weight behind it is real.
