From the very first syllable she sings, you know Katherine Smith has something special. Her voice is smokey and powerful - reminiscent of other great songstresses such as Lana del Rey, Adele, Amy Winehouse - but with a sense that it all comes oh so naturally for her, that she's not even trying to reach those notes or make your heart melt with every word she sings. Hailing from Brooklyn, Smith has a newly formed group backing her as they work towards their first EP Fool. "Hunter" is the first track to be released under the moniker Lewis, and it's cranking our gears up to want more. The band rocks incredibly well from rhythm to rhythm, setting up a self-assured but not overly flashy beat for Smith's vocals to soar front and center.
