To our great surprise, one of the best songs of the year arrived from a complete newcomer, and she goes by the name LÉON. Almost two months ago, the Swedish vocalist released her debut track, “Tired of Talking”, on SoundCloud, and, to put things simply, it's the epitome of completely outstanding pop. Now, after receiving massive acclaim and attention for her first effort (Katy Perry, herself, tweeted recently about it), LÉON has returned with an excellent second one entitled “Nobody Cares”. While LÉON’s first release contained a mixture of acoustic and electronic instrumentation, this synth-fueled new song lies more on the electro-pop spectrum. Alongside producer and co-writer Agrin Rahmani once again, she's managed to seamlessly piece together attention-grabbing verses with a sing-along-worthy chorus, and the result is another shimmering work of pop that’s secured LÉON’s spot as one of the best new artists of the year.
