It's been just over a week since the release of Leo Kalyan's debut EP, Silver Linings, and each of the tracks within it are fresh in our minds and playlists. With that said, it certainly doesn't hurt having an electronic maestro like cln breathe his expertise into one of our favorite pieces from the body of work, as "Fingertips" sees a weaving, buoyant revamp courtesy of the Brisbane-based talent. The original, while sultry in all its sonic makeup, is one that focuses on Kalyan's voice entirely, but, in this case, we see cln in the limelight with the vocals being a mere strengthening factor for the sound. Mellowed yet saw-heavy synth work epitomizes cln's style here as a whole, and it certainly shines alongside shades of the original beat and a hefty, unpredictable dose of wavy drum sequences. While Kalyan continues to soar in the electronic and R&B realms, it's always pleasant to have vivacious producers like cln refashioning such immense talents, and here, we have a remix that's sure to cast both artists in even more well-respected lights.
