Oftentimes, a new band needs a tiny bit of initial publicity to start gaining hype, and we're hoping we can provide that to Len Sander here with a bit of a starting push. The Swiss band released their first single, "Black Bryony", back in April of 2014, but in the overwhelming, rapidly expanding SoundCloud universe, it must have gotten lost within the masses of efforts on the site. However, we're extremely happy to have come across it now, because it's the type of shadowy pop that cannot be ignored. The band implements jungle-like percussion and plenty of ominous nuances to instill a hazy, chilling mood—one that clearly permeates through to the lead vocalist and her elegant croons. "Lead me out of here, to where I was before / The storm crashed what we have" is one line indicative of the track's atmosphere, and it seems that just as the particular request is made, an array of synths and keys transports the track to a lighter-sounding sonic realm. There's much to explore on Len's featured work here, and while you investigate in contents, keep in mind that their upcoming album, Phantom Garden, is set for release February 20 and available now for pre-order on iTunes.
