With "Hemiptera", his latest piece, he takes us on a sublime sonic expedition. The Frenchman, known more for his remixes than his original works, makes a case for his ingenuity on this track, breaking cliche production structures and inserting confidently zestful inclusions from beginning to end. While there's a lot to keep up with in terms of layering, "Hemiptera" is far from an intimidating piece, and appealing, upbeat sequences that are muscled by mellowed chords create a radiant listen throughout.
