We’ve known Lindsay Lowend since the birth of his exuberant, chiptune-heavy sound, and as the years have progressed, the artist’s work has also soared, as his latest rework of Lemaitre’s “Wait” portrays the claim superbly. Tony Mendez (Lindsay) has been uploading some nifty pieces on his SoundCloud page recently, too, and this remix here adds to his never-ending experimentation of distinct branches in the musical sphere. Stripping only the vocals from the original, Lindsay's sonic buoyancy is eminent from the very first note, with punchy drums and scattered claps fusing the sparkling, highly-animated chord progressions alongside it. The piece has an incredible glade throughout, and Tony refrains from unpredictability and peacocks his adept layering abilities from start to finish. It's good stuff. Look for the remix to be included on Lemaitre's forthcoming Singularity Remix EP that's due out January 20.
