It's been no secret of late that Aquilo has been solidifying themselves as one of the UK's newest and brightest acts in the realm of that downtempo soul music, and rightfully so; everything they've released over the past few months has been absolutely superb. Not only is this the case with their original material, but now with this remix of LAYLA's "Black Mud", we find the duo moulding their sound around the vocals of the also-surging British songstress. As we've come to learn from Tom and Ben, the guys like to keep their music within the minor key, using emotive electronic and swirling melodies to do all the sonic speaking, and based on what we're hearing here with their glistening remix of LAYLA's track, there's no question this is again the case.
