Laura Welsh — Hardest Part

Laura Welsh

Hardest Part

There are a lot of options out there when it comes to having a choice in female pop artists, but if we were to suggest to you one of the best up-and-comers, it would be the UK's Laura Welsh. It's not without prior examples that we say this, either, because with the 2013-released single, "Undiscovered", we loved it so much, that it made our Top 100 Songs of the Year post coming in at #19. And, with the release of "Cold Front" (also featured on the EP) and the recently released collaboration with Gorgon City on, "Here For You", we've been continually enamored by Laura's voice, songwriting talents, and immense overall presence. Now adding more to her already impressive resume, Laura's let loose her debut self-titled EP online, now able to be streamed after having only been made available through iTunes a few days ago. The four-track EP features the formerly liberated "Cold Front" and "Break The Fall" (the stripped-down version), but the other two tracks we've yet to have the pleasure of hearing are still ripe for the listening, so if you think you've already heard the best of what this body of work has to offer, think again, because "Ghosts" and "Break The Fall" are both immaculate pieces of pop music that you absolutely need to hear. The EP is available on iTunes now.
