Over the past year, Laura Welsh and ANG LOW have been honing their individual sounds, building what are sure to be long-lasting careers, but as far as ever expecting the two collaborating together, it was unlikely that anything ever crossed any of our minds. The surprise, we find out, though, turns out not to be for naught, and perhaps that's to be expected when you have the exquisite vocals and songwriting of Laura Welsh combined with the uber-creative vocalist and producer, Ang Low. The result of such jointly operated work is bound to be impressive, and, naturally the end result is everything we want it to be. Laura's vocals on "Lifeline" (their track together) champion a majestic pop angle, while ANG LOW swoops in with his off-the-wall production and contributing vocals to balance out the duality of their different ways of music-making. The result, again, is fantastic, and though there's no word if "Lifeline" is just a one-off or not, based on what we're hearing, if there were more tracks coming from the two, we would certainly not object!
