We first caught wind of upcoming Swedish pop group Last Lynx two years ago with their promising EP, Alaska, and though it was a work that gained them a bit of attention, the group really began accumulating some serious hype with the release of their most recent project, Ocean Reels. Ever since, they've been picking up momentum by dropping off a few excellent singles every once in a while, and now, the group has given up a brand-new single, "None Of My Friends", that will surely keep their momentum moving. If you've listened to Last Lynx before, then you'll completely recognize their distinct style in this effort; it's one that makes good use of their playful chimes, smooth bass riffs, and filtered vocals. Swelling guitar strums and some consistently excellent drumming cement the piece together, and solid indie-pop results. Keep an eye out for the release of Last Lynx's upcoming EP, Rifts (set for release on November 7), as it will feature this track, accompanying singles "Curtains" and "Lacuana", and three other tracks.
