When it comes to new pop artists, Låpsley is one of the very best. Her most recent EP, Understudy, was a smashing success, and we've been anxiously waiting for more material ever since. About two weeks ago, we got our first peek of new work from the UK-based 19-year-old with "Burn", an excellent track that was reported to be the backside of another single. Now, that other single has arrived, and it's a phenomenal one called "Hurt Me" that premiered as Annie Mac's "Hottest Record In The World" last night. The new track is one of the strongest efforts we've heard from Låpsley thus far, and, with an instrumental base of powerful piano chords, sweeping synths, rapid vocal chops, and fresh percussion, it definitely stands apart from some of her previous releases. As per usual, Låpsley's vocals are simply outstanding here as well. "Hurt Me" can be purchased alongside "Burn" on October 9.
