It’s been exactly one year since the release of Lapalux’s Without You, and today, we've come across a rework like none other. Washington D.C.-based beatmaker Imagined Herbal Flows is something of a sampling maestro, as he comes off a twenty-track LP packed with samples featuring the likes of J Dilla, Nujabes, Catching Flies, 9th Wonder, and Lapalux, among others. The one that stood out considerably was the Lapalux remix, as Ben Gorvine deftly switched the vibe while portraying his strong influences of hip-hop and soul. Nothing like the haunting original, the rework has its own identity with echoing vocals, sensual breaks, and an incredible feel-good vibe.
