There are many different reasons why one might make music, but arguably one of the most sought-out motives is to stir up some kind of emotion in the listener's mind. Some musicians naturally have a knack for this, and LANY, a trio out of LA, is definitely an act that does. Their blissful, sunny, endlessly ethereal pop songs like "ILYSB" lie in contrast with more fast-paced, demanding cuts like "4EVER!", but both trigger a great deal of euphoric and somewhat nostalgic feelings relating to love and the power that music has. LANY's sound has quickly found a considerably large base of fans, resulting in two EPs being released already, and although they have been touring relentlessly in many different locations throughout the world since, the band has also found enough time to put together yet another EP in kinda. Previously released track "WHERE THE HELL ARE MY FRIENDS" was an entrancing, powerful effort we enjoyed quite a bit, and here, "pink skies" seems to be the standout cut from the new works. Its warm, groovy vibe will be a great addition to any summer playlist, and with bold, ecstatic effort "like you lots" as well, we really give our endorsement to the body of work.
