Lana Del Rey — Ultraviolence

Lana Del Rey

Ultraviolence

With the run-up to Lana Del Rey’s debut, there were a lot of doubters (rightfully or wrongfully so), but with the lead up to her forthcoming sophomore album, Ultraviolence, there’s been nothing but praise, as the singer-songwriter has truly one of the world’s biggest pop starts. Lana is one artist that you can’t help not to love, because not only is her music widely appealing, but her persona is easy to like, as her music is as elegant as the personality she portrays in public. It’s with her esteemed allure that we’ve seen the first two tracks from her new album, “West Coast” and “Shades of Cool“, set a deafening buzz-making tone, but now adding more temptation to the new material is the latest track to emerge from the album, ”Ultraviolence”. In what may remind you of “Video Games”, the title-track is perhaps the most sombre and emotionally gripping of the released tracks thus far. Featuring immaculate orchestral elements, illustrious sostenuto piano capering, and big-sounding percussion, ”Ultraviolence” is another flawless addition to what’s sure to be one of the year’s best albums. Ultraviolence will be released on June 13th. Pre-order HERE.
