When I stumbled upon the stunning Soulection catalog months ago, I made a point to explore each and every artist and producer existing on the page. I was under the impression that I had unearthed the mecca of sound as I knew it, and I wasn't about to forgo any of the components central to the sonic hub. I waded wondrously through the ubiquitious talent, eventually coming across an individual whose featured work, Esoteric, caught my attention. It seemed a pretentious title for a project, and the creative audacity encouraged me to delve into the offerings within. I emerged some twenty minutes later with a beloved body of work integrated into my music library, and respect for a producer I knew would continue to make waves. It's been a year since that all occurred, and here I sit, penning a post with that prediction of mine in mind. Lakim's fresh "Hollow Earth" instrumental is playing in the background, echoing what impassioned, electronic potency I saw several months ago from the aforementioned project. The experimentally springy production has obtained a hefty dose of replay already, despite being a mere day old, and I attribute a lot of that to the brightly spirited house elements embedded within the effort. It's not an entirely new sound for Lakim, but it's an exciting degree of differentition to it, one encouraging a multitude of listens to necessarily melt into.
