La Plage arrived last year with their breakthrough single, "Rendez Vous"—a kind of song that had everyone anticipating big things for the Belgium-based trio. Not only did the track spark interest in the blog world, but the industry took notice, too, and the trio was subsequently scooped up by Honeymoon Records. Naturally, the track was then taken down from their SoundCloud, but it has since gone back up (it was re-released two weeks ago), and with its reemergence comes a new B-side, "Mark" that can be found alongside it on iTunes. "Mark" is much tamer than "Rendez Vous" in terms of tempo, but it's good because it highlights another angle of what the group brings to the table, namely, their well-manicured songwriting paired with quirky vocals and murky, bubbling production.
