The last time we saw this Melbourne duo was when they appeared on our best instrumentals of the year list with their fantastic "Haze" effort that warranted immediate inclusion. Today they've another effort catching our ear, one entitled "Wax" that provides a unique listening experience we can't quite seem to pinpoint. It's certainly an electronic ambiance, though one splintered by diverse sonic inspirations. There's a looped vocal clip pervading the instrumental, slicing through synths that are fancifully bright, and faint horn sounds clash with percussion to deliver the total aural affair.
