Kyan is an exceptional singer from the UK who has seen quite a bit of success lately, featuring on Madeon's debut album and releasing some excellent music of his own after signing with Virgin/EMI. Now, he's currently gearing up to release a new EP-leading single this month (the EP will be his third), but, until then, we've a jaw-dropping musical offering in the form of a Taylor Swift cover. Kyan tells us: "I've set myself a weekly task of covering a new and an old song, rotating each week. With a slight emphasis on covering songs people wouldn't expect and creatively interpreting them." Kyan's mellowed, acapella cover is a far cry from the high-octane hooks of the original track, but don't think that a slower tempo is the only thing that makes this cover unique. Because Kyan's voice is the only instrument used, this effort has an organic, emotive feel that is absolutely irresistible, and his vocal arrangements give the track an entirely new feel that is as original as it is beautiful. In short, this cover is musical gold, and if you aren't familiar with this guy's sound and voice already, you will be soon after this floods your ears.
