Ky Oh — Convict ft. Summer

Ky Oh

Convict ft. Summer

Ky Oh’s yet another artistic project we’ve no clue about in terms of information, but we’re guessing it's a solo act considering the vocal contribution on the Red Bull-featured piece, “Convict”, that also includes Berlin-based vocalist and producer Summer whom we also don’t know too much about. Just a couple days ago, Red Bull dropped a 2014 compilation entitled Not For Sale, and it features a host of artists probing into uncharted sonic territory. The Ky Oh piece in particular is a highlight from the pack, and that’s simply because of the ingenious production implemented and the accompanying vocals as they both seem to work in tandem rather gorgeously. Unhurried chords inaugurate the piece, and within seconds, we get an insight into Ky Oh’s sonic persona—one that’s highly influenced by trap sequences and tingling synths. The vocals play a crucial role in the track’s identity, too, as Summer enlivens the backdrop with her rapturous delivery while Ky Oh subtly adds pitch-shifted elements to add to the overall excellent euphoria. Together, they work wonderfully, and their work easily evidences that fact. Check out "Convict" below, and catch the rest of Not For Sale HERE.
