Kwamie Liv arrived onto the scene with her breathtaking ballad, "5AM", five months ago, and since then, the buzz has been continually building for the multicultural singer-songwriter. Now here to cap off what's been a successful year for artist is her debut EP, LOST IN THE GIRL, that features some previously released songs and a few new ones that will please those of you who've been following along with everything she's released in the events leading up to the EP. On the aforementioned new tracks comes more of what we love about Kwamie. Her sound is of course led by her featherlite vocals, but it's the softly tempered, electronic-led production that accents her vocals to perfection. We find this fact evidenced on new tracks "Magic" and "Coming Down", and on them, we find Kwamie at her best with her sheer magnitude of vocal seduction that hits us on the downtempo side of things. Not all is relegated to the calm realm of the sonic spectrum on this EP, however, because as we hear on EP's namesake, "Lost In The Girl", expansive electronic is applied, showing us another intriguing angle of her sound. As far as reflective debut works go, LOST IN THE GIRL, really serves as a potent portrait for Kwamie Liv, and we suspect it's going to be the first of many project to come from her, so make sure you follow along her path and keep up with the fantastic music that's sure to come from the ever-talented up-and-comer.
