We came across Kruisemode's "Plans" a couple of days ago, weren't sure about posting it right away, gave it a few more listens, and came to the conclusion that it's better off in ears than out. The hesitation is something natural-occurring when we haven't the time to reach a consensus on certain cuts (such as "Plans"), and, unfortunately, they're pushed back as a result. Fortunately, we've the ability to save tracks for later, pulling them out when we've more time to give them the attention they deserve, and so we pull out "Plans", our favorite of three new cuts the New York producer has bestowed on his eponymous Llucid debut, now. "Plans" begins with bells, occasional chime touches, and a quick, well-fitting sample that brings an oddly resonating energy to the track before busting (lightly) open into its natural instrumental state. About thirty seconds in is when the bass kicks and electronic twists come in, and another thirty seconds later, a delicately introduced strain of trap comes to coat the effort. It lasts for a bit, evaporates into an unexpectedly gorgeous violin and synth melody, and then bows down to the aforementioned elements that all make their return in beautiful unison. Another sample plays out from this point, and, together with the confident instrumentation, leads us to the end the fantastic and listening experience "Plans" proves to be.
