The lead vocalist from Kan Wakan has assumed a new solo endeavor under the name "kp", and based on her debut, "Where Did You Go", there's definitely going to be a tug-of-war of attention between both projects. She's cast an exciting presence on the Los Angeles band, certainly, but as "Where Did You Go" so vibrantly displays, there's something to be had for her own brand of woozy electronic-pop. Featuring joint production from NYC duo Noise Club and NoMBe, the fresh effort of hers takes on extra significance, because when you see this many talented individuals coming together to create, you know the end result is going to be something bearing impressive artistic fruit.
