For K'naan's third studio album there is a definite change in direction, on Country, God or the Girl you will find a more pop driven album. With features like Bono, Keith Richards, Mark Foster of Foster The People & Nelly Furtado you can imagine what to expect. I am not saying that having those features makes your album automatically bad — you will understand when you hear their songs together. While there are some great highlights on this album ("Simple", "The Seed", "Gold In Timbuktu", "Better") I am left wanting more. K'naan is a great artist, but for that reason we hold him in a higher regard than most so you may be disappointed with this album. Regardless make sure you hear this for yourself because one man's opinion is just one man's opinion!
