If you're not careful as a music blogger and you don't carefully curate what pop music you're being presented, it can all start to sound the same. There's a lot of the kind of music being pushed right now, and you have to have the right ear to pick up what's average from what's not (at least, if you want to cut away the clutter and be left with only the very best).
