If you've been staying on top of your Hillydilly game, then you probably have more than enough boy-girl electro-pop duos on your radar right now. However, even if this is the case, Melbourne duo Klo is going to give you reasons not to forget about them. We had seen their debut effort, "Make Me Wonder", surface about seven months ago—and they've remained fairly quiet since then—but with the release of their debut EP approaching, they've decided to give us another taste of their unique electro-pop blend with new track "Under Lie". Electro-pop can come off as superficial and overly poppy when done wrong, but Klo's new single totally opposes these generic pitfalls. You can hear the sincerity in Chloe Kaul's gorgeous croon—one that fluctuates between sophisticated deep tones and pristine high-pitched notes—and Simon Lam's production, too, is absolutely brilliant, as we hear him masterfully implement some humming synths, a fresh drum kit, and plenty of electronic nuances throughout. Our calendar is permanently marked for the launch of their debut EP, Cusp, set for release on November 14th via Dot Dash/Remote Control, and we think that after hearing this new single of theirs, you'll be as eagerly anticipatory as we are.
