It was earlier this year that we first became acquainted with Dutch act Klangstof. The act's intriguing approach to the musical composition of debut singles “Hostage” and “Love Or Sedate Me” caught our attention, and with the subsequent release of another single, we were hooked. Finally, we are being treated to a visual companion to match the delightful eccentricity that pulses throughout the tracks, as we premiere the video for “We Are Your Receiver”. Behind the lens of their film here is Amsterdam-based film director and visual artist Menno Fokma who wastes no time establishing the aberrant nature of the piece. As the first shot focuses, the camera begins to rotate about a fixed position to give us an insight to a series of rooms containing some rather peculiar scenarios. The shot continues in flux, juxtaposing the increasingly bizarre scenes with each passing glimpse. The end result is a stunning assemblage of surrealist imagery, and with a cast that includes characters such as “Apocalypse Nun”, “Hair Collector”, and “Psychokinetic Girl”, you owe it to yourself to check out this incredible piece of visual art.
