Kita is a fifteen-year-old artist from Columbus, Ohio, and you need to get acquainted with her right away. This year, she's released three projects and a handful of singles, but they appear to have gone overlooked. Her newest song, "I Miss You", recently found its way to us, though, and we like it a lot. Kita's brooding sound (and age and aesthetic) will raise Billie Eilish comparisons, but she definitely isn't a clone. In her work, we're hearing strong shades of current hip-hop and even some gritty R&B elements that remind us of Jessie Reyez, and, judging by the way her music has matured and grown throughout this year, she seems to have a really bright future ahead of her.
