From the outside looking in, seeing the indie-rock label on a song/band/album never really gets you clicking with anticipation. With such a blanket term for labeling music, it's such a shot in the dark when you're trying to find new music that's actually enjoyable. Tonight we were rewarded with the discovery of the UK indie-rock act, Kins, who have immediately impressed us. Kins is still a relatively young band, but as seen with the material provided on their simply-titled debut, Kins Debut, there is nothing that says inexperience here whatsoever. With the astute standout tracks, "Pale Faced Fear", "Post Tropical Storm", and "Mockasin's" (all below), Kins deserve zero hesitation from you. If you've just assumed that most indie-rock is bland, Kins are here to change your mind on that.
