Having grown up playing music together in Auckland, New Zealand, close friends Dan Gibson, Scott Cleary, and Ben Barter have all since relocated to the United States and enjoyed success with their own individual musical pursuits. It wasn’t long, however, until they decided to quite literally get the band back together and reform once more as Kingston and treat us with their debut single, “Trying”. With propulsive percussion that sustains the track’s length and a musicianship that is imbued with an undeniably energy, “Trying” is a triumphant synergy of all they've learnt on their separate journeys, amalgamated into this infectious indie-pop track.
