Perhaps you have seen King Princess's "1950" appearing on a number of Spotify and Apple Music playlists lately, but, sadly, have come to find that it's only one of few singles by the artist. This very first release from Mark Ronson's Zelig Records has been quick to snag the world's attention, it's not hard to figure out why. Written and performed herself, "1950" weaves a story of queer love during a much less accepting decade than that we know today, and, though the track maintains a retro feel, the lyrics relate back to King Princess's own life. We look forward to hearing more from her soon.
