Kill Them With Colour

Paria

April 20th seems to have been a very popular release date for tracks this year (as it tends to be for most), and aside from some major EP's seeing their way into the world, we saw a whole host of date-specific singles attempting to capitalize on the demographic overlap between marijuana and music connoisseurs. And while some of them fell short of the mark, some of them were very impressive, including the major standout "Paria", coming courtesy of the Toronto & Victoria duo, Kill Them With Colour. The laid-back and muted production work on the track was perfectly tailored for their target audience, but to be honest, this track is much more than just a novelty release, and we would have probably picked it up for coverage on any other day of the year. Kill Them With Colour has been responsible for some pretty fantastic production work in the past, so the quality of "Paria" doesn't come as too huge of a surprise to us, but it's always nice to get new tracks to add to the chill-out playlist. This one will definitely be seeing heavy rotation on those days where relaxing is the order of the day, and the unique, bass-heavy sound that these guys employed on the effort is the perfect remedy for those times when things are just a little too high-strung.
