Kill The Lights — My Mind

Kill The Lights

My Mind

As we draw nearer to the end of one of the more hectic days in the sonic sphere, an act like Kill The Lights is exactly what we’d hoped to conclude the today with, as their distinctive, lilting form of electronic sees itself gleam on “My Mind”. Having dropped a debut entitled Silos less than a day ago, the Milan-based talents (Matteo and Cristina) have just a handful of listeners, and that’s certainly startling to discover considering they possess an elegance for electronic innovation. “My Mind”, the first track from the EP, is slightly sedative in nature with stretched, lower-pitched samples coasting gorgeously alongside hued synthwork, and more elements make their way in as the effort unfolds. The effort is an extraordinarily diverse one throughout, and it's almost liquid-like in the way it seeps from one segment to the next. We're not knocking the slithering nature of the sound, though; the inclusions and directions within are ones to be appreciated rather than baffled by, and surely, their uniqueness shines through what obscurities are portrayed.
