We're not going to lie about it—we weren't fans of Kid Cudi's last album at all, but that's alright, because he was doing his own thing. The world doesn't revolve around us, and not everything made has to be enjoyed. Scott Mescudi was doing his own thing, and he should be congratulated—not condemned—for it. It was merely unfortunate that we couldn't get into the body of work—nobody was at a fault. Tonight, surprisingly, he's released a new track, and, much to our delight, it departs sonically away from that last material we mentioned above. It's still not the most amazing work Cudi's ever put out, but it returns more to his Man on the Moon days which we all love so much, and we just can't complain about that. We'll take the track just the way it is.
