Kendrick Lamar and Drake are each icons in the hip-hop stratosphere, and supplementing either's sound with one's own has proven to be a relatively safe practice for upcoming producers to get their work out there. The tendency has been beaten to death, we admit, and it's easy to see why some may dislike the activity, but when a producer knows exactly what it is they're doing to the original, there are few worthwhile complaints to be had. LMC's enhancements on the aforementioned artists' popular "Poetic Justice" single is an example of this kind of tactful take; he supplies the track with a flavorful amalgamation of smooth, soulful synths and concisely rolling hats while maintaining the integrity of both Kendrick and Drake's lyrics. It's a grooving interpretation that ultimately emerges, and a successful testament to the tried practice of supplementing a beloved track.
