At this point, it's difficult to make an argument against Kanye West being at least one of the greatest artists of our time. Any time he releases anything, music changes. It's really simple as that. He spent the past year recording in Wyoming, and, now, he is sharing the result of all his efforts there with ye. Similarly to the seven-track project, this review will be quite short. With every new project of his, we hope to have our perspective of music widened, and the most consistent sonic innovator of our time has done it again. He's brought in some of music's most talented artists to contribute (Francis and the Lights, Ty Dolla $ign, and 070 Shake), and they all play important roles in helping him to fully express his vision here. The range of sounds and emotions explored throughout this brief project is somewhat unprecedented, yet, the blending is done masterfully, and we encourage you to hear it all. Ye is G.O.O.D. Music's second recent release following Pusha T's DAYTONA last week, and they are slated to drop a collaborative Kanye-Cudi project next week, so stay tuned for that if you want more.
